If I wasn't working to help others pursue their personal health goals, I would likely working in data analytics and finance with an MBA in a corner office. From a young age, I knew that I was meant to help those around me. Growing up with a mother who is a nurse resulted in me running towards a life of healing others for as long as I can remember. My path started with a focus on athletics and performance in the pursuit of a degree in sports science at Northern Michigan University which was immediately followed up with an entrance to graduate school at Northwestern Health Sciences University. It was here that I first realized the foundational importance of nutrition and activity in the maintenance of health. As my curiosity drove me to more exploration I realized that I jumped in the rabbit hole of functional medicine in the treatment of chronic disease.
Thanks to some amazing mentors along the way I have had the great opportunity to come out the other side with an awareness of the complexities of chronic illness and the discipline of performance. I love the details, but realize the important of the big picture and how they interact with one another. This seemingly odd combination positions me to be a powerful guide as you navigate your way through the Kata Method.
