Corey Schuler, RN, MS, CNS, LN, DC, FAAIM
I love solving people's health puzzles. But what I've learned over the last decade is that your health is more than a puzzle to be solved. It is an appendage, a useful tool, a necessary vehicle, but it isn't the whole you. I am happy to order tests if we decide it's necessary. We can talk about the supplements, the diets and foods, and the medications that have worked well, worked only a little, or failed miserably. Leadership and goal setting is a priority to me, so we can discuss your non-medical puzzles as well. Nothing is off limits.
I'm not afraid to admit it. I have a bit of an addiction to formal education. After completing my undergraduate degree in chemistry from Valparaiso University and interning with excellent mentors, I changed career directions 180 degrees. After two intense years of personal development and leadership training, I found myself in a first professional degree program at Northwestern Health Sciences University where I discovered functional medicine from a gentleman who was lecturing to physicians and healthcare practitioners. Dr. Jeffrey Bland unlocked the door to functional medicine for me and I broke down the wall, devouring everything I could get my hands on including a master's degree in human nutrition. I fell in love with the nutritional supplement industry during this period of rapid growth and I currently serve as the Director of Clinical Affairs for Integrative Therapeutics, the practitioner business unit of Nature's Way/ Schwabe North America.
As proud as I am of my academic accomplishments, what keeps me motivated is the inspiring work that my clients have done to better themselves. I have learned that some people have to work very hard to be only moderately healthy. In fact, I probably fall into this category myself. I have struggled with stress, digestion, sleep, and energy and I am confident that I can help you with similar challenges through the Kata Method.
